Valentine's Day Challenge | Romantic Lace

I got a FB msg from a lovely Theodora from Theodorable beauty blog if I want to participate in a nailart and makeup challenge she came up with Kaki from Obsessed with glitter for Valentine's day. Few days before that I was just thinking of what kind of makeup challenge I should come up with next, so this challenge popped at the right place in a right time :) Rules are simple: every two or three days there is a theme and you can do makeup or nailart or both! If you know me, I am doing makeup :) So, let this Valentine's day challenge begin ...

I tried to imitate lace underneath my right eye, which I had really hard time drawing so it came out looking like not-lace-at-all, but let's just say I'm warming up for the challenge ;) And ignore my messy hair, I obviously didn't brush them that day ;)

February favourites

I didn't post my favourites post for January, even though I wanted to, but then I got ill and it changed my schedule, so I skipped it. And here are my February favourites ... :)

I started using Essie polishes in December and I really like them. In February I mostly used shades Smokin hot and After school boy blazer. I was really sceptical about Smokin hot, because I never really use this kin of shade. It's dark mauve, grey and slightly purple, but it looks good on my nails and I really like it. After school boy blazer is navy blue, on nails almost looks black, but it's blue ;) (I also got one for you in future giveaway ;)).

I rediscovered Barry M Waterproof eye pencil. It's super creamy, it sets pretty quickly once applied on the eyes, but you can also smudge it if you work pretty fast. As you can see, I got good use out of it :)

Favourite lipstick of the month has to be Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick in 016 Heart breaker. I write about it in my Lippie of the Day post HERE.

I was in need of a new body lotion and I got Afrodita Red grapes Nurturing body milk, which smells the same as their hand cream with grapes. It's moisturizing and leaves me with soft skin. Another bonus is that little bit of product goes a long way.

I've listened to my first audio book and it was from Robin Sharma - The Monk who sold his Ferrari. I loved the story, it's so inspiring and uplifting. After I stopped listening to it I was super motivated to do something epic ;). You can listen to it on YouTube HERE (2 hours 40 minutes).
And Robin Sharma can as my favourite person of the month :). He makes motivational YouTube videos, how to become a leader, how to change habits, how to wake up early, what to do to become successful etc.. Check out his channel HERE.

Another YouTuber I discovered is SoothingSista. Beautiful Stephanie does outfit videos (I love her style), sometimes even beauty videos, vlogs and other randomness. Plus she is stunningly beautiful. Check her channel HERE.

Best movie I watched is animated movie Brave. Princess Merida is determined to make her own path in life, which causes chaos in her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery to undo this curse. Loved the story line and message in this movie.

And that's it for my favourites. What are yours? :)

FOTD | Out of comfort zone

Even though I do quite crazy/extreme makeup looks, I wear pretty much the same makeup everyday when it comes to everyday makeup. Or I either wear winged eyeliner and I change lipstick colour, or I do cool or warm toned smokey eyes. Boooring :)
On Saturday I decided to do something more colorful. It's carnival time, so I kinda was in the "context", but it was a first step :)

I was inspired by Kat von D's The Mint Green and Purple Glitter Eyeshadow Makeup tutorial using Esperanza palette. I don't have that palette, unfortunately, but I managed to find similar shades in my collection - Sleek Snapshots palette (full review HERE).
I hope you like it.

Lippie of the day | Heart breaker

I received this beautiful lipstick as a Christmas gift (with all other goodies) from my lovely and beautiful friend Sal from PetiteSal blog. We did "a little swap" and she surprised me with three lipsticks. Heart breaker was one of them.

This fun shade is from Rimmel called Lasting finish lipstick in 016 Heart breaker. Formula is super creamy, glides on like butter, but with that you have to be careful, because it will get in your fine lines around your lips and will smudge if you're not careful wearing it. It doesn't survive a meal (only outline stays on me). I recommend using it with a lip liner and powder it to seal it.

Shade is dark-bright rapsbery pink. I wouldn't call it "in your face pink", but it's an eye catcher for sure. It doesn't contain any shimmer or glitter. To make it more subtle, you can just tap it on your lips and spread it all over the lips with your fingers to give them some colour.

How do you like it? Did it break your heart? :)

Halloween series: Forest Witch

Guess who's back? And it's not Eminem ;)

Hellllooooo, how are you all doing? I missed you! Did you miss me? ;)
And instead of another blah blah blog post, I decided to get straight back to business. Halloween is around the corner and I still haven't done any Halloween looks! Expect at least 4 looks this year and if you need more ideas, check out my last year's looks here: click.

Today I did Forest Witch, because I didn't want to do regular witch and paint my whole face green, so I went with half face of wood looking skin to represent the forest, which I am not 100% satisfied with, but I got a little rusty not doing anything special to my face for such a long time. *sigh* :) The other half of the face is heavily contoured, pale and eye makeup has added reds and purples. The only thing missing was contact lens in my left eye, but I didn't want to bother my eyes with lenses, I just got rid of them last year, so imagine it yourself ;)
