Weekly makeup tag: Prom

I didn't go to my prom dance, so I never did prom makeup on myself. But still, what is suitable for prom makeup anyways? To me prom makeup is that you still look like yourself, maybe little bit darker eyes, flawless skin and light lips. I like dark lips, but I assume there would be a lot of kissing and eating, and you don't want to constantly check if your lipstick is still in place. Unless it doesn't wear off, then this is a whole another story :)

Check out Aqeela's blog to see what other girlies created.

Weekly makeup tag: natural

Yay, weekly makeup tags are back! I passed that bloody exam and I couldn't be happier :))

This week's theme was natural. So I went with the brownish shades, I just knew I wanted to use my new favourite all over eyes eyeshadow from Artdeco in number 218 (applied all over lids), it's shimmery but once you blend it in your crease it looks like you put another colour in there and also a lot of effort (but you didn't :P). And I couldn't finish the look with just one colour, had to add my all time favourite Sleek palette Au Naturel. I mean, it says "naturel", can't go wrong with that :)

Here is the finished look:

Face:
- Bourjois Healthy mix foundation & concealer
- E.l.f. High definition powder
- MUA blusher shade 2

Eyes:
- Too faced shadow insurance
- Artdeco single eyeshadow no 218
- Sleek Au naturel (taupe, regal and noir; I also used capuccino and bark on brows)
- Essence liquid eyeliner
- Sleek Lashes to kill mascara

Lips:
- Alverde 55 Rosy caramel

I actually got a little bit rusty since I didn't really do any makeup looks in January. But this will be fixed soon :).
I hope you like it anyways :).

Moa the green balm REVIEW

I discovered MOA the green balm about two years ago and this is probably my third jar, especially I love to use it in winter time. It really is an amazing balm, let's take a look why.

Balm comes in white jar in a "natural" looking box, surrounded with information about the balm. The box is kinda cute, it says "Boo!" when you open it :).

Ingredients. Balm is 100 % natural.

Smell off the balm is nothing special, it smells like herbs, it's not stong, so it doesn't bother me. Colour is sheer green. Consistency is thick, once you apply it on your skin, it applies smoothly, it melts from the warmth of your skin.

100 % healing balm . Keep me handy for any little crisis.
Crammed with organic yarrow and lots of other lovely stuff. Use me on dry skin, bumps, bites, grazes, minor burns, after shaving and as a cleanser.
I'm green, I'm a balm, I'm 100 % natural and I'm a miracle!
Smudge and smear me all over your lovely body, but please don't stick me in your eyes!

It really is a miracle ^^

This wonderful balm has many uses. I usually use it on bruises, mild wounds (knife cuts) it really helps and fastens healing process. I apply it to dry patches on my face before sleep, especially now in winter time. I use it as a lip balm it leaves my lips smooth, moisturized and soft. I also rub it to my feet before sleep and put socks on, let it absorb, it softens any dry/hard skin. Sometimes I use it as a hand cream, if my skin feels dry. I use it before and after shaving (I put it above my eyebrows and shave with little razor, I apply it after shaving my legs to moisturize them) ...

I recommend using it before bed time, because it's very thick consistency and it's not absorbed so quickly. Your skin is regenerating in night time, and this balm helps it to recover. You'll wake up with amazingly soft skin. This is a must have product for winter.

Official web site: http://www.thegreenbalm.com/
For Slovenian readers, I bought it here: srcek.si, you can also buy it here: soncnatrgovina.com

It costs 15 € + shipping, which is probably the only down side of this wonderful product. But I am not cheap when it comes to skin care. I prefer quality over quantity.

Have you ever used this balm? Will you try it?

6 new lippies

I bought so many new makeup lately, but I still don't have a proper skin care products. Oh, well :)
I went a little crazy over buying lipsticks, some of them are on a natural side, for I discovered I don't have enough natural shades, and some are deeper shades for fall, everything in a purple family.

I introduce you to my new army.

From left to right: Essence Wild Craft lipstick 01 mystic lilac, MUA lipstick shade 2, Catrice Ultimate colour 160 Tell Me a Berry-tale, MUA lipstick shade 5, Catrice Ultimate shine 090 Fox Nox, MUA lipstick shade16 Nectar

I didn't like shade 5 from MUA, so I gave is to my mother, she is always so happy when I give her some makeup I don't use or like :). Catrice lipstick reminds me of my favourite natural shade from OriflameVibrant Beige. And the Nectar one. My oh my, I feel in love with it yesterday. I'm going to wear it a lot.

Essence Wild Craft lipstick 01 mystic lilac, MUA lipstick shade 2, Catrice Ultimate colour 160 Tell Me a Berry-tale
All in the purple family. I wanted dark purple lipstick for the longest time, but I didn't want to spend a lot money on it. Mystic lilac was perfect shade and cheap. MUA lippie shade 2 is kinda dark pinkish purple shade. I really like it. And the one from Catrice is really nice deep berry colour.

I didn't do any specific makeup looks for summer, so I decided to do at least 2 fall looks using some of my new shades. Yay! :)

Have you bought any new lipsticks lately? Do you like my new babies? Have you tried them?
Girl can never have too many lippies :)

Have a lovely day,

THREE (nail) challenge look #1: ANTIQUE

*I'll just skip the "nail" part :))

It's the first day of the challenge by Mateji ustvarjata/Two Matejas creating. Anyone else excited? :)
Here are the challenge rules: click here. I asked them if I can create makeup looks instead doing nail art, because I'm such an amateur with nail polishes, I stick to basics. One polish all over and that's it :). And thank you for letting me do it my own way.

Part one of the challenge consists of time. First look is inspired by something ANTIQUE. My first thought was: golden, brown and black, and that's exactly what I did :D
I remembered I had an antique looking pocket watch, and used it as a reference.

So, here is the final look:

Face:
- Bourjois Bio detox Vanille
- NYX blush Pinched
- highlighter Sleek i-Divine palette - the lightest colour

Lips:
- Oriflame lipstick Midnight Colour
-Catrice Lip appeal lipgloss 060 Coralista

Eyes:
- Essence I <3 stage eyeshadow base
- Sleek i-Divine Storm palette (gold, dark matte brown, black eyeshdows)
- UKbeauty palette Glitz (gold eyehadow)
- Bourjois liner feutre in black
- Catrice All Round Mascara
- eBay eyelashes
- Bourjois black liner

And I even did my nails (told you it was basic :D)
- China Glaze 685 Passion
- Depend black crackle

Do you like it? Because I do :)

Have a lovely day and say hello to September!

xoxo Deja
