10 favourite nail polishes

Blogmas day 4 :) How are you enjoying blogmas so far? :)

Today I'll introduce you my top 10 favourite nail polishes. I wear them all year round, I don't like "seasonal" polishes. I will wear whatever I like whenever I like :)

There are a lot of blues and darks. You have been warned :)

Avon nailwear pro in Coral beat is bright coral shade and it's nice pop of colour since I wear black clothes quite often. I apply 2 coats to make it more opaque. Staying power depends on your nails and no polish stays on my nails more than two days without chipping, so I'll skip that :)

I am in love with red polishes, I've collected many of them with different undertones over the years. My all time favourite has to be Catrice 070 Caught on the Red Carpet. It's gorgeous deep red and I always love how feminine and mysterious it looks.

Now we start with the blue family :). Bourjois 1 seconde in 23 In the Navy is deep bright blue, which makes my nails amazing. And I'm also in love with the wide brush, makes application much easier and faster.

Next one is Catrice 400 Blue Cara Ciao. Brighter than the previous one, really vibrant and fun. The only con is that it can leave my nails stained, even though I apply base coat. But I forgive you that ;)

NYX Nail polish in 195 Bermuda Triangle is polish I totally "killed". I feel in love with it right away and it's been on my finger and toe nails more than it should be :). It's really nice lighter blue going to turquoise. Reminds me of the beautiful sea, and I love me some sea :)

Another one from Bourjois 1 seconde collection is 22 Turquoise block. This one was my go to colour this summer, it's so bright and fun it makes me happy. My favourite colour is blue, second is turquoise ;)

Unfortunately Essence Colour and go in 38 Choose me! was discontinued quite some time ago, but it's still my favourite. It's amazing dark turquoise, blue going to green with gold glitter ... just pure awesomeness in the bottle. Even though it's hard to remove it, I forgive you :)

Done with the blues! Barry M 299 Racing Green reminds me of forest fairies. Whenever I'm wearing it, I feel like a fairy :) It's amazing deep green with slight shimmer. B-e-a-utiful.

I call Catrice 440 I wear my sunglasses at Night for lazy people. This shade was discontinued (why Cosnova?). It's amazing purple going to black with silver, green and purple shimmer. Totally galaxy look-a-like :)
And here's a (bad) close up of this polish.

And the last one and probably the most boring one is Maybelline colorama in black shade. I've been in love with black polish since I started painting my nails and I believe this is my third or fourth bottle of black polish. I'll stop wearing black when they make a darker colour :)

Do you own any of them? Which one is your favourite?
Tell me what are your favourite polishes.

NOTD | Navy Disco Ball

It's been forever since I posted nails of the day post and I say that in every notd post. Or recipe post. Or 'what I ate' post. Anyways, this is not what I should be talking about, back to nails!

I bought two Bourjois 1 seconde Texture silicone gel, because a girl can't say no to a discount ... and pretty (blue) nail polish. I love their wide fan effect brush, makes application super easy and even dries quite fast! Win win I say.

So, today on my nails I combined Bourjois In the Navy with Rimmel Disco Ball polish on my ring finger, because it's always fun to have disco ball on your nails, right? Right. :)

Here are my nails:

NOTD: Fleur de Santé HOT RED!

* All Fleur de Santé posts will be written in English and Slovene. / Vse Fleur de Santé objave bodo napisane v angleščini in slovenščini.

I already mentioned this polish in my Fleur de Santé post, check it out here: click. Time to show you this beauty!
Tale Fleur de Santé lak sem omenila že v skupni objavi tule KLIK. Sedaj je čas, da pokažem tega lepotca!

Glitter is hard to capture. / Težko je fotografirati bleščice.

It's red polish with teeny tiny red glitter, and it's absolutely gorgeous! I'm sucker for red polishes, it's always
my "go to" polish (or blue or black:)). I have probably 10 polishes in "red family", but haven't had a beauty like this one before. I also wore it three times in a row, which is really unlikely for me.

Do you love it or do you love it? :) / Vam je všeč ali všeč? :))

It comes in a squared bottle, 7 ml content and tiny brush, although it's a really good brush. I'm a clumsy polisher, but I managed to apply it without problems. I used two coats to achieve complete opacity, but one coat has pretty good coverage.

What are your thoughts? Which is your "go to" polish colour? :)
Kaj pa ti meniš o tem laku? Katere barve je tvoj "go to" lak? :)

Have a lovely Monday!
Pa lep ponedeljek ti želim!

* Product was sent to me for review. / Idelek mi je bil poslan v oceno.

NOTD: confetti

I painted my nails on Thursday with blue colour, which I really love, but on Friday morning I wanted to do something else. So, I added some "confetti" to spice up my manicure. Here is the final look:

I've decided that the stuff falling through the cracks is confetti and I'm having a party! (B. C. Garmon)

Barry M 291 Cobalt blue
Essence Special effect topper 02 circus confetti

I think adding glittey top coat adds a perfect special touch and it's not even time consuming, you know that I'm quite lazy with my manicures :).
And I think it's special razzle dazzle for holiday season. What do you think? :)

(sorry I fail at taking photos of my nails *sigh*)

P.S.: I am so happy you guys liked my Lasik eye surgery experience post (here). Thank you for all your lovely comments. <3

Halloween series: Halloween manicure (Jack Skellington and bloody hand)

I realized that nail art can be really fun to do if I want to, so I decided to do two Halloween manicures today. :) I'll just put both in one post, because I still have 3 Halloween related posts to post in this last three days of October.

I've seen cutepolish's video this week and she did Jack Skellington inspired manicure (see the video here), so I decided to recreate it. Because Nightmare before Christmas is my favourite Halloween movie and I love Jack Skellington, although he doesn't look like himself on my nails :D. Maybe he was drunk or something.
I did his face on my ring finger and the rest of the nails are inspired by his suit.

Revlon 999 Blackest black
Essence multi dimension 68 Perfectly true
Oriflame Visions nail art stripers in Wall paint and Black deco

On the right hand I wanted to do something bloody, but still a little bit glamorous. So I decided to apply glittery silver polish as a base and sponged on some blood (I mean red polish) so it looks like I dipped my nails in a pot full of blood. I guess :)

Essence Nail art cracking base colour 02 Sparkling silver
Catrice 070 Caught on the red carpet

Which one is your fave? I like my left hand much more, but cannot stop looking at my right hand, probably because it sparkles. :)

Have you done any Halloween inspired manicures? I would love to see them! You know hot to reach me :)

Four elements challenge: AIR

Today's task for four elements challenge is air. First I started singing to myself: Put your hands up in the air (yeah... I know^^). But then I looked up in the sky and saw blue sky and some clouds. I took that as an inspiration. It's such a pretty sunny warm day today btw :)

Here is my manicure:

Barry M Blueberry
Essence multi dimension Perfectly true
I sponged the white nailpolish on the tips (2 coats) and then went over it with blue polish to soften the edges  and blend them a bit.

Sorry, it's not makeup :D You probably expect that from me, but I always like to challenge myself.
And I'm kinda sick and tired of doing blue makeup looks, I have feeling like I always do the same.

Hope you like it.

Four elements challenge: WATER

Sorry for being  late with this one, but at least it's here :)
This time I decided to do a manicure instead of makeup. But don't judge, my manicures are always the simplest, because I'm really clumsy when it comes to my nails. Nail polish everywhere just not on my nails. Story of my life. I can do the most precise line with makeup though. :D
But  a change is always good. And I've done so many blue makeup looks lately, so blue manicure it was instead.
Here's my last week's task: CLICK.

Today's (I mean yesterday's) theme is water. I imagined river Soča with all it's blue-ness. I added a Special effect top coat to add flakes and I think it gives it a watery effect.
I did my ring finger differently though.

Here's my mani:

I used:
- NYX Girls NGP 195 Bermuda Triangle (2 coats)
- Essence nail art special effect! topper 08 Night in Vegas
- Essence Colour & Go 38 Choose me! (accent nail)

Hope you like it! Have a lovely weekend!
