Tim Burton series (collaboration with Petite Sal) | Alice in Wonderland

Last makeup from the series (sad face). This week's theme is Alice in Wonderland and I knew that I want to do either Queen of Hearts or Cheshire Cat. I was searching for a little inspiration on the wonderful wide web and decided to do Queen of Hearts. This time I wanted not to recreate the actual character, but to interpret it in my own way.

So, why I did both eyes differently? I did right eye first, if I wouldn't like it I could start all over and it's easier to remove makeup just from one eye, but when I finished right eye, I thought it would be fun to do left eye differently. Why not? :)

Before you check out today's look, make sure you check out all other creations Sal and I did:
Romantic goth: SAL & ME
Nightmare Before Christmas: SAL & ME
Edward Scissorhands: SAL & ME

Aaand, here it is :)

Eyes (both eyes):

right eye:

THREE challenge look #2: ULTRA MODERN

Here is the next look for THREE challenge.

"The story" behind this look: wanted to do ombre, but then I realized it's not ultra modern, it's just "in" right now ... So, I googled (Google, my BFF) and found some awesome advanced architectural houses, really cool looking.

just imagine those windows darker :D

So, I imitated the pool (blue), grass (green), house (white) and dark windows (black) and edginess (cut crease).

Here is the final look:
(this time I did only one eye, without face. I would probably use a brozner and some natural-orange lips)

Products used:
- Essence I <3 stage eyeshadow base
- NYX Jumbo pencil Milk
- Sleek i-Divine palette Chaos (matte white & blue)
- 88 BH palette (shimmery blue over matte blue)
- 88 Coastal Scents palette (dark green)
- Bourjois Liner feutre black
- Baci lashes
- Bourjois black pencil
- (for crisp line I used sellotape)

Not a big fan of this look, to be honest. Blending is not the best at all, I made it in a hurry ...
Next look is futuristic look, I hope I will make it up to you! :) Still not 100 % sure what to do though.
xoxo Deja

P.S: Thank yoi for lovely comment on my last blog post for this challenge. I love you all <3

The penguin challenge look 3: purple everywhere

It's time for the last look for the penguin challenge. I had so much fun creating all three looks, and looking at other masterpieces :). I love makeup so much, that's why I decided to do more makeup blog post, because it's the funnest thing to do! :)

The third look has to be white and colour. My first thought was white and orange (who knows why ...), but instead I decided to go with purple-white look, for I remembered I had some purple false eyelashes! Because I didn't want to incorporate black mascara, unfortunately I don't have purple mascara :)

So here is the look I created:

Face:
- Bourjois foundation Bio detox organic
- E.l.f. Under eye concealer and highlighter
- E.l.f. High Definition Powder
- E.l.f. Brush (it has no name on it, it's kinda pinky-peachy-purple-y shimmery shade :D)

Eyes:
- Artdeco eyeshadow base
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil 604 Milk
- BH cosmetics 88 Color palette Tropical shimmer eyeshadow (it has only two purple shadows, used them both)
- Coastal Scents 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette (used the darkest purple)
- Sleek i-Divine palette in Chaos (matte white)
- BeautyUK eyeshadow collection in Twilight (shimmery white)
- Kiko Mixing solution
- Baci false eyelashes No. 545 (purple lashes, I bought them in erotic shop :P)
- Duo eyelash adhesive Clear-white

Lips:
- Artdeco High Performance Lipstick in shade 498
- Artdeco Soft Lip Liner waterproof 91
- Revlon Lipbutter Gumdrop

Firstly, I applied foundation, concealer, set everything with powder and primed my eyes. Applied NYX Jumbo pencil on my lids, blended it with my fingers. Started applying shimmery purple on outer corner of my eyes, in my crease and in the inner corner, leaving the center of my lids uncovered. Applied another darker purple-y shade over what I just did and white matte eyeshadow in the center. With wet brush (mixing solution) I applied white shimmery shade in the center. I deepened the outer corner with darker shade of purple and blended it with white brow highlight colour. Did the same thing on my lower lashline. Lined my eyes with wet brush and dark purple eyeshadow. Applied white jumbo pencil in my waterline. I left my eyebrows au natural.

I outlined and filled in the corners of my lips with purple lip pencil and applied darker lipstick. In the center I applied light purple shade and dabbed some shimmery white eyeshadow on top.

You can make this look easily more wearable with skipping the purple eyelashes, you can apply black false lashes or just black mascara. And you can switch for natural lipstick shade.

I think I could have done so much better with this look, but I don't really have time to recreate it. Maybe some other time :)

Have a lovely day!

The penguin challenge look 1: drag queen

I love drag queens. Their makeup application is perfection, glitter everywhere, dramatic lips, dramatic contouring, a lot of highlighter, the more sets of false eyelashes the better ... I was even a drag queen for a masquerade this year. That was the first time I tried drag makeup. I haven't even practiced or anything, but then I realized it was not even that hard to do. That's why I decided to do it for my first look for the penguin (black and white) challenge. Here are the awesome ladies who came up with this challenge: Kaki, Alexis and Mimi.

Oh, yeah.. And according to google, my drag queen name is Iva Fetish ;).

Here is the look I came up with:

Products used:

face:
- Sephora Base lissante Smoothing primer
- Bourjois foundation healthy mix 52 Vanille
- E.l.f. High definition powder
- E.l.f.Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
- E.l.f. Blush Gotta glow

lips:
- Bourjois eyeliner pencil 01 Noir expert
- Revlon lipbutter 060 Gumdrop
(I didn't really want to do black and white lips, that's why I chose really light purple colour, which still kinda resembles white)

eyes:
- Urban Decay Primer potion Eyeshadow base
- Bourjois eyeliner pencil 02 Noir expert
- NYX Jumbo pencil 604 Milk
- Bourjois Liner feutre 11 Noir
- black  and white matte eyeshadow from Sleek i-divine pallette Chaos 577
- shimmery eyeshadow from BeautyUK eyeshadow collection pallette Twilight
- Barry M glitter stacking set mixed with Kiko mixing solution Solution mixante
- Baci lingerie false eyelashes no. 670 glued with Duo eyelash adhesive dark-tone
- Artdeco all in one mascara black

eyebrows:
- Catrice Absolute Eye colour 350 Starligh Expresso

I started with the eyes, I assumed that I will have a lot of fallout from glitter and black, at the end wasn't that bad :D. Firstly, right after the primer I roughly draw with Bourjois' black liner pencil where I want my lines to go. Then I started building up the black eyeshadow and applied NYX's jumbo pencil on my lids, set it with matte eyeshadow, followed by shimmery white, also on my brow bone. Then I applied white-ish glitter with mixing solution on my lids. Lined my upper eyelash line with Bourjois' Liner feutre, also the lower lash line. Added black shadow on lower lash line, and jumbo pencil to waterline and outer part in between the upper and lower black line. Added falsies and mascara.

Then I applied foundation, concealer, set everything with powder, contoured, applied blush and highlighter.
Then I lined my lips and a little bit in the corners with black eyeliner, in the center I applied Revlon Lipbutter.
The last thing were my eyebrows, and I always stick to my basics. Catrice Starligh Expresso never disappoints me :).

I still think this is more of a toned down drag makeup ... I didn't cover my eyebrows and draw them on, I just filled them and made them longer. I was thinking about applying two sets of lashes, but I intended to clean the makeup afterwards, and I'm lazy when it comes to cleaning my false lashes (and brushes, too). :P

Tell me, if you like iiiiit :). Would you wear it? :D

Have a lovely day <3

P.S. Special thanks to my roommate/dear friend/partner in crime who took the pictures. You rock ;)

And here are the lovely ladies who already did the first look. I'm one day behind. Whoopsie ;)
