My hair - my hair style, care and colour

Let's talk about my hair today :). It was requested, and I get questions about my hair colour and about my hair in general, so here I (hope) answer all your questions.

Firstly, let's talk about my hair in general.
I have quite thick hair, my natural colour is I would say medium brown (my undercut hair colour is my natural colour) and it gets lighter in summer time. They are quite straight, they just have this natural "wave" at the ends. They can get frizzy, grow pretty fast and scalp is kinda sensitive.

Now let's take a look of my haircut.
I actually shaved my right side last December, but I had much shorter haircut, I had pretty short hair all summer. My left side is quite long now, I actually want it even longer. I go for a trim every two months and I try to shave my undercut every two weeks, it's 9mm atm (well, it has grown from last week's haircut). I shave it myself or I go to my hair stylist. I've been going to the same hair stylist for 7 years now, it's the only person I trust when it comes to hair cutting.

This is how my hair looks from the back.

And left side is kinda bob-ish.

My current hair colour is blond, I was actually pretty scared before dying it, I haven't been blonde for 8 years. I used Smart Beauty Smart Blonde permanent toners in Beach Blonde (bought it here). I left it in my hair for 30 minutes (it says you leave it for 30 - 60 minutes) and it came out more yellowish then I expected, but it was wearable, so I left it that way. I coloured my hair again before surgery, but this time I used Revlon hair colour (I can't remember which shade, sorry), it was too late to order Smart Beauty one online. I don't recommend Revlon, it's washing out like crazy and it didn't cover my roots. Smart Beauty stayed the same shade for whole month, so I recommend their colours. I'll write a review when I colour my hair again.

Lastly, my hair care is pretty simple. I don't like putting a lot of hair products in my hair, like I said I have sensitive scalp and I don't like the feeling of having a lot of products in my hair. Currently I'm using and loving Lavera shampoo Milde pflege, it's calms down any itchiness I might have on my scalp and it cleans my hair nicely. My hair conditioner is also from Lavera Glanz & Volumen Haarspülung. It leaves my hair super soft and shiny. This is my basic hair routine. I wash my hair every two days or three, I exercise on regular basis, so my hair gets dirty pretty quick.

I'm also testing out Lee Stafford hair growth treatment, can't tell you much about it, but it makes my hair super soft. My favourite "hair mask" has to be regular extra virgin olive oil, I massage it in my hair and leave it for an hour or two or over night. I also love virgin coconut oil for my hair. The best way is that you warm up the oil (not too much, you don't want to burn yourself) and then massage it for at least 5 minutes (the more the better, massaging your scalp stimulates growth) and put a cap or plastic bag over your head, then wash your hair as you normally would.

Another product I'm testing right now is Keune care line Leave-in hair repair, I think it works well with my frizzy hair. The smell is also nice. And yet another product I'm testing out is Lee Stafford Dry shampoo for days I don't wash my hair. I don't really have oily roots, but it gives me nice volume, smells nice and it freshens my hair.

I always blow dry my hair when I wash it, otherwise they are all over the place and I can't really do anything with them. I use round brush when I blow dry it and for everyday use, I use another round brush with rougher bristles for teasing, if I need any volume and regular comb for everyday use.

Hope this helps to some of you :)

100th blog post

I have been thinking about writing a new blog post and saw a number 101 blog posts on my blogger working table. Clicked on editing posts, there were two unfinished blog posts and deleted them, because I always save my un-posted blogs on my computer. So this one right here is a 100th post. Can you believe it? :D

I think this is an ideal opportunity to write a random post. And because I like writing random posts :))

I got a haircut two days ago. I was in such a desperate need of a haircut, complaining about my "long" hair. I like getting a haircut, and I love my hairdresser :). Had to wait until I got home (I live in Novo mesto), because I don't trust any other hairdresser. Getting a haircut was always more stressful to me than going to a dentist, and she's the only hairdresser I trust :). Call me crazy, but it's true! :)

My mobile phone camera washes me out!

Now I just need to colour my hair. I usually do it myself. Are there any good hair colours? I always buy whatever I think will work best. Don't have any favourites ... Right now on my hair I have Ultraviolet colour (it looks dark red, I know). Should I give violet another try or should I colour my hair brown? I'm opened for any other suggestions :)

Started reading the Hunger Games book! Love it so far! So many things from the movie are now much more clear-er! :)
... and random snack :)

Novo mesto is such a beautiful town ... After two months of not seeing it, it's even more beautiful :)

I found some awesome things from my childhood when I was cleaning my room. If you are a 90's child you know what I'm talking about. :)) Do you still have your childhood toys, electronics in your home?

I fell in love with Lita's shoes. They look so edgy but still enough feminine, I think they are so my style! I like girly-edgy combinations. I think they would be a nice edition to my shoe collection. (My birthday is in August! I think this is an important info :P). I asked a girl I follow on Twitter, where to get them and she directed me to Karma Loop site. Are there any other stores where they sell them? I would be the happiest person alive to have those babies! :)

And song of this weekend:

Lana Del Rey is my celebrity girl crush ... One of them :) Love this song!

Have a lovely Easter weekend if you celebrate it!

xoxo Deja
