My Ideal Palette TAG

I was tagged! By lovely Tatjana from Taya My little beauty world. For this tag I had to pick 10 eyeshadows (rules below), which was not an easy task. I've been searching for all matte palette, since I'm obsessed with matte shadows (I'm eyeing Kat von D Ladybird ;)), but I also like shimmery, because I use light shimmery shadows for highlights all over my face, I like duocrome shadows that can be used all over lids and I like quite lot of darks, black is an obvious choice for me. And here are my picks ...

Rules:
2 Highlight Colors
2 Lid Colors
2 Crease Colors
2 Outer Corner Shadows
2 Bonus Shadows
Palette Packaging
Alverde Gold rose, MUA shade 16, Essence Dory in love, MUA shade 3, Artdeco 9, Sleek Bark, Sleek Noir, Everyday minerals Our first date, Fyrinnae Sorceress, MUA shade 12

2 highlight colors:

Alverde 09 Nude rose is the most pretty highlight shade. I use it all over my face and after using it, some of my friends bought it, because it's that beautiful. I believe it was renamed now, but unfortunately I don't know how.

I actually like to use regular face powder for a matte shade, which always helps with blending or I just apply it all over the lid after eye primer to prevent creasing, but MUA  shade 16 - matt is pretty similar to a powder, so I chose this one. Pink is not even seen once applied.
2 lid colors:

Can I pick a pigment? Because I just did ;) If Essence pigment Dory in love was a pressed shadow, I would have it in a palette. It has slight shimmer, and I just realized I need to use it more ;). Blue can be really tricky to pull off, but I always like a challenge ;).

For another lid shade I chose shimmery silver - MUA Shade 3 - pearl. I like to wear it all over my lid and have just warm brown in my crease with winged liner. Plus you can combine it with plenty smokey eyes.

2 crease colors:

Artdeco 9 is actually a shade for eye brows, but I've been using it on my eye lids, because it's too redish for brows to my likings. Works great as a crease colour. This shade would go great with that shimmery silver I mentioned before.

And of course - no palette is complete with dark brown shade. I picked Sleek from Au Naturel palette shade Bark. Sometimes I even use it for filling in my eyebrows and it's amazing for blending out eyeshadow in the crease.

2 outer corner shades:

No palette is complete without black. I sometimes like even doing just black smokey eyes. I chose from the same palette as before - Sleek Au Naturel in shade Noir.

Because I had no clue what other shade to pick for outer corner, I picked another black, but this one is slightly more on a warmer side (extremely hard to photograph and I hate the packaging, but you can see it on the first photo). This shade is from Everyday minerals eye Our first date palette, the darkest one.

2 bonus colors:

The most beautiful duocrome shade, I fell in love with it at the first sight. Fyrinnae Sorceress is dark greenish-blue with shimmer and tiny glitter, it can be slightly purple at a certain light and it also looks grey when you blend it out. Amazing for wearing it all over the lid and it would look like you put a lot of effort into your eye makeup :)

Yet another duocrome shade is this amazing dark brown with redish undertones, slightly green, slightly grey - MUA shade 12 - pearl. Again, wear it all over the lids and it would look like you put a lot of effort into it.

Packaging:
I really like Sleek palette packaging - black, sleek, elegant, with a mirror, easy to carry when you travel. I'm not too picky :)

I'm not completely sure if that would be my "Ideal" palette. But those are the colours I wear a lot. On every day basis I mostly wear just winged liner, because it's the easiest to do.

What colours would you like to have in your ideal palette? YOU, who reads this, are tagged.

Sleek i-Divine Snapshots palette (review and swatches)

*This post is written in English and Slovene/ Objava je napisana v angleščini in slovenščini.

Few weeks ago I was sent some new goodies from slovenian site zapikonai.si. I received OPI Mariah Carey 4 mini nail polishes and Sleek i-Divine Snapshots palette. Today, I'll review and swatch Sleek palette.
Nekaj tednov nazaj sem prejela nekaj nove kozmetike s spletne strani zapikonai.si. Prejela sem 4 OPI Mariah Carrey mini lake za nohte in Sleek i-Divine Snapshots paleto.

You probably already know that I love Sleek, especially their palettes. Most eyeshadow crease on me even with eyeshadow primer, and Sleek lasts the longest on me. So, I was super excited to receive another palette to add into my Sleek family :).

Firstly, let's talk about packaging. Palette comes in a black box with ingredients, content and other information (website, name ...). Palette contains 12 pans of 1.1g (0.03 oz) colourful mineral based eye shadows. Palette itself is like any other Sleek palette, black, sleek looking, little bit hard to open at first, but in a week (it depends how often you use it) it should be opened more easily, but it's still sturdy. I love that it has a mirror and eye shadows are covered with plastic paper with names. I cut this plastic and glue it to mirror, so I know which colour I'm using and mirror is still usable.

I absolutely adore colour selection in Snapshots palette, it's so playful and colourful, it just screams summer :). I really like that the palette has matte (4 shades) and shimmery (8 shades) shadows, that equals 12 beautiful eye shadows. Now I'll just describe them individually.
Sedaj bom vsako opisala.

Summer breeze is gorgeous matte minty shadow, which is not the most pigmented, but nothing a white base can't fix. I would wear it as a pop of colour with simple smokey eye.

Martini is light shimmery shade, it reminds me of other similar shadows from Sleek palettes. It works great as inner corner colour, highlight on brow bone and even face.

Kiwi flower literally reminds me of a kiwi :). It's light shimmery green shade, I already used it in my Shire inspired makeup look, as inner corner shade. Check it out here.
Kiwi flower me spominja na kivi :).

Sand walker is matte light neutral shade, slightly on a brown side, it reminds me of Capuccino shade from Au naturel palette, but Sand walker is slightly lighter.

Washed ashore is orangey brownish shade with slight shimmer, which is not really seen on eyelids. I would recommend using a white base to make it pop, but it works great as a blending colour in crease.

Sunset is probably my favourite shadow in these palette. It's darker brownish red shimmery shade and it works great as outer corner color or all over the lid.

Lotus flower is gorgeous lavender shimmery shade. I think it's very unique shade, I've never seen one like this before. Works great in inner corner, under brow bone and I would incorporate it in purple smokey eye look.
Lotus flower je čudovita svetlo vijolična. Se mi zdi precej unikatna barva, ker podobne še nisem zasledila. Deluje odlično v notranjem kotičku očesa, pod obrvjo, z veseljem bi jo vključila v vijoličen smokey eye look.

Humming bird is duocrome shade, blue with gold shimmer and it's absolutely amazing. I see myself wearing this colour a lot in the future :).
Humming bird je duokrom barva, modra z zlatim shimmrom in je resnično prelepa. Že vidim, da jo bom precej nosila v prihodnosti :).

Tequila sunrise is literally what name says, tequila sunrise! Vivid shimmery orange that will make your eyes noticeable!
Tequila sunrise je dobesedno to kar pravi ime, tequila sunrise! Živa oranžna s shimmrom in oči zagotove ne bodo ostale neopazne!

Green iguana is similar to Humming bird once swatched, but without gold shimmer and more on a green side. Works great with simple brown smokey eyes and with this pop of colour on lower lashline.

Purple haze is matte darker purple, which I really like. I would wear it as outer corner shade and is also a great blending crease colour.
Odlično deluje v zunanjem predelu očesa in v gubi.

Magenta madness is bright bright matte pink (magenta!) shade, which I already used for my "Black and pink" makeup: here. I would even use it as a blush or dab it on lips to make lipstick last longer.

And here is one of the looks I created with Snapshots palette (7 shades). I call it Tequila sunrise at the beach ;). I'll publish a separate post on this look in few days!

Can you tell I love this palette? :) I recommend it to girlies who are not afraid of colorful makeup looks and who are not ashamed to play with colour!
Se mi vidi, da obožujem to paletko? :) Priporočam jo dekletom, ki imajo rade živahen, pisan makeup in jih ni strah uporabljati živih barv!

How do you like this palette? Do you have it or will you buy it? :)

My eyeshadow palette collection

Few days ago I asked on Twitter  if you'd like to see my makeup collection, eyeshadow palettes or maybe lipsticks, and more girls said they want to see my eyeshadow palettes. I decided to show you my bigger palettes in this post, and if you want to, I can show you the rest of my eyeshadow collection in separate one. So, here they are :)

*warning* this is one long post.

I absolutely adore Sleek i-divine palettes. I think they are my favourite. Eyeshadows are soft, colour pay off is amazing, I love the texture of them and I even like the packaging.
From left to right: Storm, Au Naturel and Chaos.
They are mineral based eyeshadow palettes, says on the back :). They cost around 12 € each.

I have 2 palettes from BeautyUK. I don't like that they don't have names on them; the left one is called Glitz and right Twilight. Eyeshadows are great, but somehow I don't use them that often. They are quite pigmented, the texture is soft, but I think Sleek eyeshadows are softer and easier to apply.
They cost around 6 € each,

Well, this is not just an eyeshadow palette, since I have also blushes in here, but I wanted to show it to you anyways. It's magnetic palette from Artdeco. Currently I have 5 eyeshadows from them. I really like Artdeco eyeshadows or should I say Artdeco in general. I really like texture and pigmentation. Blushes are also amazing, as you can see in the picture :).
Colours from left to right: 6, 288, 542, 602 (it fell on the flor and broke:/) and 218.

I bought NYX palettes on eBay and I was so excited when I got them, but that excitement didn't last. I think these eyeshadows dry my eyes and irritate them. Maybe it's because of the contact lenses, never tried them without lenses though. Anyone having the same problem? I'm not really familiar with the ingredients though ...
However, colours are nicely pigmented and soft, some of them look better in the palette than on eyelids (just being honest :D).
Left one is from The Runway Collection: Jazz Night (bought it because it reminded me of one of Kat von D's Beethoven palette) and right one is Smokey Eyes.

Another NYX palette. It's Glitter Cream Pallet in Surral. I absolutely hate it. Haven't used it much as you can see, but you cannot work with these glitter. I tried them on top of the eyeshadow, put eyeshadow on top glitter, I applied them separately ... Always get a fallout all over my face and glitter is gone from its place before I finish my makeup.
Anyone knows how to make them work? Or should I just throw it away?
I can't remember the price of any NYX palette.

I discovered MUA cosmetics not so long ago and I'm glad I did. I could compare these to Sleek palettes. Colour pay off is amazing, and they are soft and easy to apply. Left one is Heaven on Earth, right one is Undressed (a dupe for Urban Decay's Naked palette:)). I paid 3£ for each.
(Don't tell anyone: I will be giving away both of the palettes is my future giveaways :))

I haven't used previous two that much, since they are quite new, but I have used MUA Immaculate collection palette a lot. I got this palette for free with my order from their site, and I absolutely adore all colours. You can do so many looks with just this palette.

My next palette is my Z palette. You buy an empty magnetic palette and put different depoted eyeshadows or blushes or whatever you want to put in it. In my palette I put Essence, Avon, Revlon matte, Oriflame, Alverde and Wet'n'Wild shadows. I like that I can put all shapes of pans in it and a lot of them as well.
It was around 20 €.

I also have Aqua makeup palette. It comes in handy for Halloween, masquerades and fantasy makeup. You activate colours with water, sometimes I even use mixing solution for pigments. I almost completely used up white colour, been doing a lot of clown, Joker and Geisha looks apparently :).
I think it was somewhere from 15 - 20 €, I have it for two year now.

This palette was my first bigger eyeshadow palette, Coastal Scents 88 Color Eye Shadow Palette. I had it for three year now and I think it's a good starting point for everyone who is new to makeup, but want to experiment with colour and don't want to spend a fortune on it.
I have a sentimental connection with this palette. I did so many "first" things with it: filled in my brows, stopped being scared of using black eyeshadow, used eyeshadows as blush, started using eyeshadows as liners, did my first fake blood ... Everyting basically :)
I paid 35 € for it, I would probably get it for cheaper now, but I don't regret my purchase.

Another 88 palette is 88 color palette from BHcosmetics. I woudn't get it if it wasn't on discount (I don't remember the price). I used it few times, all eyeshadows are shimmery, texture is basically the same as Costal Scent palette and you get nice range of colours. So, if you like shimmah shimmah, I recommend it to you (I am thinking about selling it).

Last but not least, is W7 with 77 eyeshadows. I received this palette as a Christmas gift last year (thanks:)). You have a lot of neutral colours along with blues, greens and silvers. They are not as pigmented, I would say it's a good choice for ladies who don't like too bald colours. All of them have teeny tiny shimmer in them.

If you'd like to see a review on any of these palettes, let me know!
