THREE challenge look #4: FAVOURITE SONG

So, the first section of the three challenge is completed. We're done with time. :) Second section (my favourite section:)) consist of favourites: favourite song, favourite book and favourite feeling. And let me tell ya, I haven't known what my favourite song is, until today (I'm writing this on Monday). When I was thinking about looks for every section and theme, my first thought on a song was Bad Romance, have no idea why, it's far away from favourite. But I just had the image what would I create (maybe next time :)).

I went through my favorites on YouTube and found it! Jessie J - Who you are. I still cannot say it's my favourite, but it's one of my favourites for sure. Why? I love the message behind the song, I can truly relate to it. As a girl with shaved head, piercings and big dreams about becoming a makeup artist and not believing or liking some of the thing society expects from me ... I would not really call myself socialy acceptable. But no matter what anyone else thinks or dislikes about me, I'm true to who I am. I was lost in the past, but in last few years I finally found myself. Here is the video and her intro says it all. I will be me no matter what:

The look is probably the simplest ever and it describes me. I like wearing bright lipsticks, and black liner. I just added it in my crease as I've seen Jessie wearing it in some other video. I like wearing a lot of blush and highlight also. Here is the look:

Products used:
- Sephora Smoothing primer
- Missha Perfect cover BB cream no.21
- Bourjois Healthy mix concealer
- E.l.f. blush Tickled pink
- Sleek i-Divine Au Naturel (Taupe for highlight)

- Sleek i-Divine Au Naturel (Nougat and Honeycomb all over my lids, Bark for eyebrows)
- Essence gel eyeliner 01 Midnight in Paris
- Artdeco All in one mascara black
- eBay falsies

- Revlon Matte 006 Really Red

Wear whatever you like, think however you like, be true to who you are <3
And remember, it's ok not to be ok :)

Quick tip: how to make you lipstick lighter or darker

I like creating new lip shades, so no one knows what kind of lip sticks I wear (mysterious lip colour :P). I wanted to share a quick tip with you: how a make your lipstick lighter or darker.

This is what I used:

- two lipsticks: NYX Jumbo Lip pencil  709 Deep Red and Bourjois Sweet Kiss 49 Rose allure
- NYX Concealer in a Jar
- Avon Super shock gel eyeliner-liner gel in black
- lip gloss wand or brush (or just use your fingers)

You don't have to use exact same products. You can use whatever colour of lipstick you like. I just recommend using creamy concealers and eye pencils. Creamy products mix better with lipstick.

Make it lighter:
I apply lipstick on the back of my hand and with brush or lip gloss wand I get a little bit of concealer and apply it directly to where I put lipstick. Mix well. You can go back and forth with lipstick and concealer to achieve desired colour. Apply it on your lips.

Make it darker:
I do it the same way as with concealer, I just apply black liner directly to the lipstick on my hand and then mix with brush, wand or finger. Apply it to your lips.

NYX Jumbo Pencil, from left to right: lipstick mixed with concealer, normal shade, with black eyeliner.

Bourjois lipstick: from lighter to darker.

Of course you can apply it lipstick and then concealer/liner directly to your lips, but I prefer putting it to the back of my hand, so products can melt together from the warmth of my skin.

Here is comparison with NYX Jumbo Pencil. First picture: normal shade, second picture: darker shade

Pretty easy, ha?
Hope this helps to some of you :). Do you have any other tricks and tips how to make your own lip colour? Share it in the comment section!

Lots of love,

xoxo Deja

P.S.: Sorry for really bad pictures! I can't find my digital camera, I moved to a new apartment last weekend and my room is still chaotic :D. Sorry!
