February favourites

I didn't post my favourites post for January, even though I wanted to, but then I got ill and it changed my schedule, so I skipped it. And here are my February favourites ... :)

I started using Essie polishes in December and I really like them. In February I mostly used shades Smokin hot and After school boy blazer. I was really sceptical about Smokin hot, because I never really use this kin of shade. It's dark mauve, grey and slightly purple, but it looks good on my nails and I really like it. After school boy blazer is navy blue, on nails almost looks black, but it's blue ;) (I also got one for you in future giveaway ;)).

I rediscovered Barry M Waterproof eye pencil. It's super creamy, it sets pretty quickly once applied on the eyes, but you can also smudge it if you work pretty fast. As you can see, I got good use out of it :)

Favourite lipstick of the month has to be Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick in 016 Heart breaker. I write about it in my Lippie of the Day post HERE.

I was in need of a new body lotion and I got Afrodita Red grapes Nurturing body milk, which smells the same as their hand cream with grapes. It's moisturizing and leaves me with soft skin. Another bonus is that little bit of product goes a long way.

I've listened to my first audio book and it was from Robin Sharma - The Monk who sold his Ferrari. I loved the story, it's so inspiring and uplifting. After I stopped listening to it I was super motivated to do something epic ;). You can listen to it on YouTube HERE (2 hours 40 minutes).
And Robin Sharma can as my favourite person of the month :). He makes motivational YouTube videos, how to become a leader, how to change habits, how to wake up early, what to do to become successful etc.. Check out his channel HERE.

Another YouTuber I discovered is SoothingSista. Beautiful Stephanie does outfit videos (I love her style), sometimes even beauty videos, vlogs and other randomness. Plus she is stunningly beautiful. Check her channel HERE.

Best movie I watched is animated movie Brave. Princess Merida is determined to make her own path in life, which causes chaos in her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery to undo this curse. Loved the story line and message in this movie.

And that's it for my favourites. What are yours? :)

90's TAG [video]

I know I promised I'll be filming (more) YouTube videos, but I kinda failed at it. I filmed a video how I fill in my eyebrows 4 (or even 5) times and it was out of focus or I was covering my whole face with a mirror, unintentionally.
Anyways, Maja (click) posted yesterday 90's tag and I was like: "do a tag, Deja, you can't really f*ck up this kind of video." So I sat down and filmed today. I didn't really f*cked it up, but it's not the best, plus my camera is really loud and I don't see myself buying new camera anytime soon just because I don't think I'll be filming so regularly that I would need to upgrade.

Enough of chit chat, here's the video and please read description box! And subscribe if you'd like to ;)

I tag all 90's kids ;)

My favourite YouTube channels

Blogmas day 2 :).
Today I decided to share with you some of my favourite YouTubers. So, let's just start ;)

*I screen shot all the pictures from their videos. Click on their names which will lead you to their YouTube channel*

Cool chick, makeup artist, she does from beauty videos to fashion to recipes to vlogs to DIYs. I love the variety she provides. And I also love her editing. I usually don't enjoy vlogs so much, but hers are always fun to watch :). Must not forget to mention that she has a really adorable cat named Bruce Lee :)

When I found Lex' channel about a month ago, I watched all her videos in couple of days. She does Halloween looks all year round, mostly body painting. She is funny, positive, extremely creative (it blows my mind) and is just awesome person, I guess :)

In one word: shameless! She is promoting shamelessness, does beauty, any other advice, motivation, positive body image etc. I love her energy and shameless persona :)

Ah, funny Natalie. She was probably one of the first channels I subscribed to, way back in the day, when I didn't even know what being subscribed even meant :). She does short funny videos telling you some kind of story. I get really excited when she uploads a new video :)

Already mentioned him in my favourites post, but I'll mention him again. He's a Swedish gamer, who comments though playing video games, but trust me, it's much more interesting and funny than it sounds. He is one of the most subscribed YouTube channels atm and he still does everything by himself - content, film, edit ...

One of the best channels about fitness and health on YouTube. Brenda provides informative videos, gives "lean secrets", motivates you, shows you amazing recipes, shows you the workout and she's also very beautiful. :) She has also written an e-book named Lean Secrets which I just purchased and can't wait to read it :)

Another YouTuber who does Halloween all year round. He is amazing in creating creatures from horror movies, does really in dept explanation how to do it and watching him just makes me happy and motivates me to be more creative :)

Amazing artist. Whatever she does look so effortless and beautiful. She shows you that you don't need a lot of makeup to achieve a certain effect. Her voice is really calming and relaxing, too.

Reidell bros make kinda awesome awkward funny videos, which make no sense sometimes but are so meaningful at the same time. Does this make sense? :) They won Internet icon award and I think you'll love them!

There are plenty more I watch and enjoy, but some of my favourite Youtuber stopped making videos, or they upload really rarely (Petrilude, Audfaced, JazzyBabyCakes, Nymphette415, PiecesofRisa, dougboy411 ...), so I didn't include them in this post. But you can still check them out ;)

Do you watch any of my favourites? Tell me, which YouTubers are your favourite?

Let's film YouTube videos :)

I decided to start filming (more) YouTube videos, because I am ready to challenge myself ;) My pronunciation is awkward sometimes (but I'm an awkward girl usually :D) so I hope you can understand me.

I don't promise you a video every week or so, but I'll do my best to be more consistent with filming and uploading.

Let the awkwardness begin ;)

Get ready with me | Everyday makeup

I filmed myself on Saturday. I'm a YouTube star again! :D
Whenever I'm clueless what to do with my makeup, I go for winged liner. I just change lipsticks and blushes/bronzers and highlighters, but wing is basically the same. I love using Catrice gel liner for this, I've almost used it up already. I doesn't smudge, I don' have to go over with matte black shadow, it dries matte.

Here's the video:

I already broken down all the products in the video, but I am writing them down for you here as well:

Eyes:
- Artdeco eye primer
- MUA shade 16 matt
- Artdeco eyeshadow 6 (it's actually eye brow shadow, but it's too orange to use it on my brows)
- Catrice absolute eye colour 090 Bring me frosted cake
- NYX Mosaic highlighter
- Catrice gel eyeliner
- IsaDora Big bold mascara

- Catrice eyebrow pencil for brows

Face:
- MUA Matte perfect primer
- Deborah BB Cream
- Essence Stay all day concealer
- Artdeco fixing powder
- MUA Bronzed perfection
- NYX Mosaic highlighter

Lips:
- Ingrid cosmetics in 292

If you have a Youtube channel as well, please leave the link in the comment, so I can subscribe!

Hope you like the video. Happy Monday!

Look, mum, I'm a YouTube star. Not.

I've promised a "How to contour video" loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. I've filmed it and video was really confusing, because English is not my first language and I was quiet most of the time, searching for the right words in my head, the other half of the video I was laughing my ass off (what can I say, I'm a funny guy). So, I deleted it.

So, I filmed myself yesterday, but it's not a video about contouring, it's how I did my eye makeup. I actually just wanted to try to edit something simple. My camera allowed me to film only 8 minutes, so I filmed only eye makeup. Next time I'll try to film how I do my whole face ... and will make whole video better ;)

Click here to see a video.

Products used on my face (because you can't see exactly what I'm using and what I already had on my face):

Face:
- Bourjois Healthy mix foundation
- Essence Stay all day concealer
- Catrice multicolour blush LE Hollywood's fabulous 40ties
- Essence Crystaliced highlighter

Eyes:
- Essence I <3 stage primer
- Sleek Au naturel palette
- Barry M Bold Black Waterproof eyeliner
- Essence liquid eyeliner
- Australis Lash TLC mascara
- Catrice eyebrow pencil for brows

Lips:
- Revlon lipbutter Cherry Tart

And yes, this was my day makeup.

Oh, and subscribe if you'd like, this is a new channel. I already had 2 videos on my old channel, but I wanted to start with a new one.

Hope you had a lovely weekend <3

My eyebrows - how I make them look awesome :)

I've got so many compliment on my eyebrows since I started posting pictures of my eye makeup. And I can say I like my eyebrows, too :)
I shape them quite thick, because thick eyebrows make you look younger. Who doesn't want that? :)
I used to shape them quite thin and never used pencil or shadow on them. I think I started coloring my eyebrows last year and I've been doing it ever since. I don't really go out without making them pretty :)

Can you see how thin they were? Yes, I was blondie once :D

This is how they look right now.

Here is what I use to shape:
- baby wipes (or any other damp cloth will work)
- razor thing-y (you can buy these things in any drugstore)
- Un-petroleum jelly (bought it on eBay; I loooove this stuff)

How I fill them:
- Catrice eye brow stylist 030 Brow-n-eyed Peas or
- Catrice Absolute Eye Colour 350 Starlight Expresso
- angled  brush by IsaDora

This is how your eyebrows should be shaped.
And it suits any face shape, any colour, any woman ... :)

And I probably did something stupid ... I uploaded (my first) Youtube video on how to shape and fill in my eyebrows.

I have a very bad camera as you may have noticed. :D I hope it's self explainatory enough. Is it even visible? Aaaa, kinda nervous what will people say on my first video :D

I will probably make more videos, if I get positive feedback. :))

I totally forgot about cutting the long eyebrow hair!! Because I already had them cut. Oh, well, I'm not perfect. :D
(Use your spoolie brush (you can clean a mascara wand from an old mascara) and groom them upwards and trim any long hair sticking out of a spoolie with little scissors. There is a lot of videos on Youtube how to do that!)

Hope you like my first video! Will figure out how to film better. My camera kinda washes me out :(

Good night!

xoxo Deja
