Weekly makeup tag: Barbie

Well, I never wear pink eye makeup. If you know me by know, I prefer dark smokey, natural or winged liner look. To channel my inner Barbie I even had to put my blonde wig on, that's why I have it, right? ;)

I literally took my Barbie doll for inspiration. I still have them, don't judge ;). She has pretty lavender pink makeup, but I ended up with bright pink and purple-blue makeup (close enough), pink blush and pink lips. I tried to cover all my skin imperfections, then I set my foundation with loose powder and then I added shine back to my face, because Barbies are plastic and plastic shines a little, it's not matte, so I used highlighter on (almost) my whole face.

We don't wanna read your rambling, show us the look ... I hear you ;)

Make sure you check out Aqeela's blog HERE and show other girls some love and leave a comment or two ;).

My hair - my hair style, care and colour

Let's talk about my hair today :). It was requested, and I get questions about my hair colour and about my hair in general, so here I (hope) answer all your questions.

Firstly, let's talk about my hair in general.
I have quite thick hair, my natural colour is I would say medium brown (my undercut hair colour is my natural colour) and it gets lighter in summer time. They are quite straight, they just have this natural "wave" at the ends. They can get frizzy, grow pretty fast and scalp is kinda sensitive.

Now let's take a look of my haircut.
I actually shaved my right side last December, but I had much shorter haircut, I had pretty short hair all summer. My left side is quite long now, I actually want it even longer. I go for a trim every two months and I try to shave my undercut every two weeks, it's 9mm atm (well, it has grown from last week's haircut). I shave it myself or I go to my hair stylist. I've been going to the same hair stylist for 7 years now, it's the only person I trust when it comes to hair cutting.

This is how my hair looks from the back.

And left side is kinda bob-ish.

My current hair colour is blond, I was actually pretty scared before dying it, I haven't been blonde for 8 years. I used Smart Beauty Smart Blonde permanent toners in Beach Blonde (bought it here). I left it in my hair for 30 minutes (it says you leave it for 30 - 60 minutes) and it came out more yellowish then I expected, but it was wearable, so I left it that way. I coloured my hair again before surgery, but this time I used Revlon hair colour (I can't remember which shade, sorry), it was too late to order Smart Beauty one online. I don't recommend Revlon, it's washing out like crazy and it didn't cover my roots. Smart Beauty stayed the same shade for whole month, so I recommend their colours. I'll write a review when I colour my hair again.

Lastly, my hair care is pretty simple. I don't like putting a lot of hair products in my hair, like I said I have sensitive scalp and I don't like the feeling of having a lot of products in my hair. Currently I'm using and loving Lavera shampoo Milde pflege, it's calms down any itchiness I might have on my scalp and it cleans my hair nicely. My hair conditioner is also from Lavera Glanz & Volumen Haarspülung. It leaves my hair super soft and shiny. This is my basic hair routine. I wash my hair every two days or three, I exercise on regular basis, so my hair gets dirty pretty quick.

I'm also testing out Lee Stafford hair growth treatment, can't tell you much about it, but it makes my hair super soft. My favourite "hair mask" has to be regular extra virgin olive oil, I massage it in my hair and leave it for an hour or two or over night. I also love virgin coconut oil for my hair. The best way is that you warm up the oil (not too much, you don't want to burn yourself) and then massage it for at least 5 minutes (the more the better, massaging your scalp stimulates growth) and put a cap or plastic bag over your head, then wash your hair as you normally would.

Another product I'm testing right now is Keune care line Leave-in hair repair, I think it works well with my frizzy hair. The smell is also nice. And yet another product I'm testing out is Lee Stafford Dry shampoo for days I don't wash my hair. I don't really have oily roots, but it gives me nice volume, smells nice and it freshens my hair.

I always blow dry my hair when I wash it, otherwise they are all over the place and I can't really do anything with them. I use round brush when I blow dry it and for everyday use, I use another round brush with rougher bristles for teasing, if I need any volume and regular comb for everyday use.

Hope this helps to some of you :)
