Soft kissable lips

Colder weather is here and with that also drier skin, especially lips. I don't suffer from extremely chapped lips, but when I get them, I know how to easily fix them.

My "secret" (which is not really a secret) is scrubing off dead skin cells rather than just applying a lip balm over. If you're one of the people who constantly reapply their lip balm, you may stop doing it because you're actually making your lip skin "lazy" and you're slowing down skin's own ability to provide moisture. If your lips get chapped pretty easily, it's probably because you're applying fake moisture too oftenly to your lips.

I've noticed since I started using gentle moisturing lip scrub, I don't even need applying lip balm so many times. I make my own lip scrub out of olive oil or coconut oil and sugar, I keep it in a container until I use it up or I use Everyday naturals Sumotuous lip polish. I don't exfoliate every day, maybe once or twice or three times a week, depends on a season and weather.

Another tip for dry lips instead of using lip balm is using olive oil. You can apply it before bed time and optional in the morning. Let it sit for some time and then add some sugar to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin cells. After that reapply olive oil and you won't probably need any extra moisture during the day :)

Weird beauty tip: Wrong hair conditioner

Let me tell you what happened. I was shaving my legs the other day and I was thinking about writing "weird beauty tip" how to use a hair conditioner that doesn't work on your hair if you're trying out new product or you accidentally bough a wrong one. I actually really ran out of a conditioner and went to a drugstore few days after. And I bough wrong hair conditioner! Both packagings are the same colour and I just grabbed it and realized it was wrong when I was already washing my hair. Universe made a little funny on me :)

Luckily, I know how to use a hair conditioner that doesn't work on my hair.

I use it as a shaving cream. Yup, I wet my legs and apply the conditioner all over my legs. Then I shave. Makes my legs smooth and soft.

I wouldn't recommend it to use it every day, still is a hair conditioner, but for occasional shaving or when you're travelling should work well.

Unusual beauty tip: How to apply mascara on your bottom lashes

I know what are you asking: what kind of rocket science is that? No science here, but I've noticed that if mascara has big wand I always get mascara underneath my eyes and then I have to clean that area up, reapply concealer, powder, eye makeup ... You get the picture. I'll show you super easy and inexpensive way how to apply mascara on your bottom or really short lashes in general.

You'll need small brush which is meant to be used to clean in between your teeth (how do you call them? :D). You can get them in any drugstore for super cheap and they come in different sizes. I believe I have the smallest size.

You basically coat little brush with mascara directly from mascara wand, just don't dip it into actual mascara, you'll have a lot of excess product on there and it will clump your lashes. Just coat it thinly so bristles are still defined and then apply it on your bottom lashes and little ones in the inner corner of your eye if you have them. You'll see how your lashes are not clumpy and you won't have to clean up the mess underneath your eye!
